Oh my goodness… I don’t know if you have tried Guitar Hero or not. I believe that it (or some likewise facsimile) is available on every current gaming system out there. If you are under twenty-five I’m sure you have tried it and you have probably attained some measure of success in the game. If you are older than twenty-five-ish, I recommend you not even try it. I’ve tried that ridiculous game a couple of times at the urging of my kids and nephews/nieces. It just doesn’t work. Even though the game has some very nice Classic Rock (when did ‘my’ Rock become ‘Classic’ Rock???) on it, it – just – doesn’t – work.
What’s that old saying, “Never try to teach a pig to sing. It wastes your time and annoys the pig.” My corollary is “Never try to teach a grown-up Guitar Hero. It wastes your time and embarrasses the grown-up.” Perhaps that IS why the kids are urging me into it. Mayhaps I’m just the comic relief.
I think I’ll just wait for “Kazoo Hero.”
